The short version.
Fifteen years in data, across four industries. I've built data warehouses on Teradata, Greenplum, and Microsoft PDW. Designed big data pipelines with Hadoop, Hive, and Kafka. Created intelligence layers using Power BI, QlikView, and Tableau. From Kimball star schemas to cloud-native analytics on BigQuery, the platforms changed, but the mission stayed the same: help organisations turn massive data into decisions that actually matter. Now heading up analytics and strategic data projects at FNB, and exploring where AI fits into everything I've built.

Designed BI architecture at one of the world's largest technology investors. Naspers' portfolio spans media, e-commerce, fintech, and classifieds across dozens of countries. The challenge was building analytics infrastructure that could serve fundamentally different businesses with different data needs.

Managed data and analytics at one of South Africa's largest retail chains. Transactional data, loyalty programmes, supply chain, inventory. Keeping data pipelines running cleanly at the scale of 1,800+ stores.
Capitec Bank | Management Information Systems
Responsible for data delivery across Capitec's 600+ branch network. Inherited critical performance issues on 2TB+ databases and built custom monitoring solutions that recovered approximately 6 hours of daily processing time.
